About Us
Island Kids Child Care Center located in Lakewood Ranch, FL, offering professional and reliable childcare services for children from 6 weeks to 12 years of age. Our center provides a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn, play, and grow, designed to meet their developmental needs and provide peace of mind for parents. Additionally, Island Kids offers a preschool and pre-k programs to cater to the needs of young children, aiming to create a nurturing and educational environment for children, focusing on their growth and well-being.
Every class offers a wide variety of hands on activities and learning. Island Kids has multiple program incentives for all age groups. Our program incentives are included in the tuition and offer the children many ways to keep moving and stay fit!!
With Dance, Yoga, and Music, our Island Kids' have something special every day of the week! In our on-site library, the children learn about how to use the library, how to borrow books, and learn the responsibility of bringing books home and back to school.
Art is incorporated into teaching for all age groups. Outdoor time takes place daily on our large fenced green space. That space is dedicated to outdoor fun, games, and water play!
On top of all of our program incentives, our Island Kids' have scheduled physical education time in our gross motor room.
We offer separate classrooms dedicated to our children who receive theraphy/services. Both classrooms are equiped with fine and gross motor equipment.
Infant room 1: 6 weeks to 12 months
Infant room 2: 12 months to 24 months
Toddlers: 24 months to under 36 months
Preschool: ages 3 and 4
Pre-K: ages 4 and 5
Before and After School: ages 5 to 12
Summer Camp: ages 5 to 12

Each classroom is taught by a teacher who holds their degree in Early Childhood Education. All classroom teachers create weekly themed lesson plans, which include music, art, sensory, fine and gross motor, and language development activities.
Our Programs
Our preschool classes are taught by a Early Childhood Education teachers. The preschool teachers are responsible for teaching weekly lesson plans that will educate the students in social/emotional, physical and cognitive development.
